Beautiful species Dan. Very good eye contact and I like the composition. I do not mind about the oof branches but the black areas lack deatils and the light areas oon the crown are very bright (if the original file is a RAW you will find no problem to fix that). The image is very soft. I have been using the 80-400 during a couple of years and wide open at 400 the lens is a bit soft but the softness in this case seems to be due to the processing job (perhaphs noise reduv¡ction filter?). I would love to see this image processed with more sharpness. By the way, when using the 80-400 try to avoid 400mm and f5,6. My best results were at 300-350 mm and about f8, much better performance.
    Keep them coming

    Hi Dan!
I remember that morning - never did see the bird after that...
I love the eye contact and the 'in your face attitude' of the bird!
    Best,
    Nicki
