Taken on a still, dewy morning. Do you like or dislike the DOF?

I'm a fan of limited DOF, providing the focus and OOF helps the subject. This one works for me as a nice absract, and good color & light study.

I like the DOF also but find my eye only wanting to look at the top half of the image. Perhaps a horizontal frame instead of a vertical? After all...most of the dynamics of the image is right at the poppy's edge.

Beautiful colors on this and I really like the sharpness right at the edge.

    Adrian,

Beautiful image. Love the hues and the selective focus.

I agree with Julie as I feel the balance between out-of-focus and in-focus is slightly out. If you want to keep a vertical than I would suggest bringing up the bottom and slightly cropping in from the right.

I like it! Beautiful colors. I like the selective focus. The lower right area doesn't add much to the image. Gorgeous light!

Personally, I really like shallow DOF. This image has some lovely shades of yellow/oranges. Nice & crisp in-focus petal edge. Lovely abstract.
