I don't think I have to tell you where this was taken :D!
The image turned out rather grainy due to the low light up in the loft. I can't decide if the grain adds to the picture or simply distracts. What do you think? Any C&C are welcome!
Olympus SP-550 UZ
f4.5 @ 1/6, ISO 400
Manual mode, pattern metering
Processed in PS CS2; curves adjustment, converted to sepia with channel mixer and hue/saturation layer, some noise reduction, and added canvas texture
Christopher, I am not a fan of the grain or the texture-but that's just my personal preference. I do like the perspective and the light at the back of the frame-kinda has a tunnel look. I do like the composition and would just clean-up the top corners.Nicely seen.
Nice comp, Christopher! I can't say I'm in love with the grain here (and I normally like that kind of thing)...That said, it's a cool image. Have you tried a really long exposure? Maybe taking it to 4-6 seconds to see what that produces?
Thanks Denise and Julie for commenting. I'll see what I can do to try to get a less grainy photo of this. Julie, I haven't tried a really long exposure mostly because I don't have a tripod so avoiding camera shake would be a big problem.
