This image of two Swainson's Spurfowl was taken in December 2008 in Kruger National Park, South Africa. The birds performed a little bit of a starring ritual and then climbed down and dissapeared in opposite directions ... no scratching, peking or grunting what so ever !!

I had stopped my car and was looking at some other wildlife in the distance when these guys jumped up. They are usually quite nervous of cars and it is often comical to see how these guys dart acroos the road or run in front of your car, completely petrified !!! Ha ha. So, I didn't want to start up the car abd scare them away ... worked with what I had and did my best ... still, I am happy with the results !
Good capture. Your exposure looks good. The birds are sharp with good colors. The head angle(s) could have been bit better but the interaction of the two makes the image for me. Thanks for sharing.
