Another shot from my Costa Rica trip with Greg Basco and Doug Brown. This one is thanks to the multi-strobe setup constructed by them.

Hey Dan, looks like you had a fantastic time down there! I only wish for a better body/head angle and a bit more room in front, but I love the backstroke wing positions and the beautiful BG.

Hi Dan: Some great stuff from Costa Rica. I like this Mango as well. Great photographing with you during the trip. I may need some help Id'ing some birds from the trip. I'm sure you'd be able to nail the ID's. I was amazed at your birding skills. Great Stuff.

I think the crop works fine Dan, and the bird looks great against the BG. A slight head turn towards you would improve the image. On my laptop, the iridescent plumage looks kind of funny; sort of like a painting.

I like the pose and BG (setup?). I only wish the bird had faced you more and the plumage looks oversharpened on my monitor.

    Hi Dan!
I love the bird's twisting pose so the head angle works for me.
    Best,

Superb hovering posture, and love all the different shades of green in this.
