    Default Lesser Kestrel

From my resent trip to Central Spain, this male Lesser Kestrel is bringing a juicy cricket home to the nest in the town of Trujillo, Extremadura.

    D700, AF-S VR 600/4, 1.4x TC.

    Thanks for watching.

Hola Daniel, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Spain. I like the landing action and the wing spread. Composition works finelely for me and the BG is magnific. Hope to see more from your trip :-)

Hola Juan! Thanks for your comment and yes, I really enjoyed the trip. With one day at Parque Natural de las Hoces del Río Duratón in Castilla y Leon (for the Griffons and Duponts Lark) and rest of the week in Extremadura (Parque National de Monfragüe, Trujillo-area and La Serena) I got both good birding and a lot of photo-ops. My second time in the area and it will not be the last. More posts to come.

    Cheers

Great landing pose, and show of the wings. I like the light and colours in this, and the hint of clouds in the BG add to the image.
