Caught this little one calling this morning. Nikon D300, 200-400 VR, 1.4 TC, Markins ballhead and Gitzo trippod. 1/400, F/8, +0.3EV, ISO 400, 750mm(35mmFL). Thanks for looking.
Hi Kevin - agree with ED on this one - That BG is pretty bright - takes the attention away from your main subject.
Also your shutter speed is a bit slow for the focal length you are using which will make your images soft if you are not careful - just something to keep in mind.
Like the open beak pose.
Keep them coming.
Hi Kevin,
I like the capture, and the singing pose on this little guy...agree with Mr. Peters on the shutter speed...the background can be desaturated a little and you should be fine...the perch does not bother me, it is what it is...you just captured the moment...looking forward to your next one...good show...
Thanks Gentlemen. I'll keep your suggestions in mind as I continue. I'm in Northern Illinois and I'm not sure who was more excited that everything is so BRIGHT and GREEN. Me or the little finch ;)
Hi Kevin Don't hesitate to crank up the ISO a bit more !!! Agree with suggestions Particularly toning down the green bg !! Sweet pose and like the open beak !!!
