    Default Fox in the Dark

I photographed this mother red fox and kit in eastern Pennsylvania last April in the early pre-dawn twilight.

Non-photographers up at that hour would probably say,"It's dark!"

    But we know better. :)

This was taken with the Canon 1Ds Mark III, Canon 500 mm with 1.4 TC.

    Thanks Christopher !

I thought it was interesting how the colours are rendered when there is very little light.

Nice moment captured here! I'd run some NR on the BG.

    Bill,
Nice moment captured. I love the interaction. The vixen is vigilant and the composition is nice. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

I love the painterly look and mood of this one. I'd run some more NR. well done!

Thanks, everyone for the generous comments!

Your suggestions on more NR are well-advised, and I'll do that for sure.
