    Taken in overcast weather - bird was in a bush against a white wall hence the reflection! (it was on the neighbour's side of the wall so we had the butt-in-the-air syndrone!! ;));
    Canon 40D

    Hi jeni - I think I would go with the first one - 2nd looks a little too much of a crop for my tastes and a little soft due to the larger crop - both feel a little tight on the LHS.
    Good Ha and pose and you have good details in your blacks and the whites are in check.

    keep them coming :)

    Hi Lance, thanks for commenting. If I leave more (can do) on the left, won't it move the bird too much into the centre?

    Jeni, I agree with Lance-alittle more on left. Beautiful pose and perch, I see some posterization in BG maybe from crop?

    Fine image Jeni I like the crop by David All that negative space at the bottom is not doing much for me !!

    Really like the dark bg and how well the birds stands out !!
