Plover eating worm
Mostly rainy today in the SF Bay Area but was a good occasion to practice flash techniques :-)
A few semipalmated plovers were feasting within shooting distance (assuming one was ready to be quite muddy ;) ).
I thought about patching the "hole" out but decided to present the image as is.

Nice action and low angle Jean-Luc! I think that I would lighten the eye area to give a little more "pop" to the bird though.
I feel that you could have used ISO 1000 and f8. Reason is that your slow ss caused the legs to be oof. With faster ss you would have frozen everything. Think it would have made the image better.

Great predator-prey interaction. Perhap try increasing contrast a tad.
I think you done really well with the lens/extender combination, image looks nice and sharp in all the right places, nice use of the flash too..
