    Another in my backyard series. This one didn't present quite the exposure challenge as the rose breasted grosbeak from yesterday. Taken at about 7:30 pm, so light fading. Hence the choice on aperture, and loss of DOF.

    D300 500mm f/4 at f/6.3 1/640 ISO 800 aperture priority -.7 EV SB800 with beamer -1.3 EC

    I like the colors of the bird, the perches and even the leaves :) The exposure looks good and sharpness looks good. I have no issue with the composition. Well done, IMO.

    Yes, quite the ladies man. You really did a nice job on the exposure, and I like the fact that the perch is sharp also.

    Excellent exposure on the colours Randy, and love the pose. Stands out nicely against the BG. Well captured.

    Not much to say Randy except a solid image. The square comp works very well here/ If anything I may lighten the iris ever so slightly and/or darken the pupil...very minor really. Well done!
