    Default Which backpack?

I am thinking of getting a larger backpack for my equipment. Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    John

John as others can attest I have been through this subject exhaustively!

If you want a backpack that is large and yet comes within international airplane carry-on dimensions, the only backpack IMHO is the ThinkTank Airport Acceleration V 2.0. The chart above help some.

I have looked at all of the Lowepros, Tamracs, and ThinkTanks - this one wins!

John, here is my ThinkTank Airport Acceleration 2.0:

Across the top left to right: Wimberley Flash bracket, 580 EX II speedlite bent over a Delkin sensor scope, and my 40D (I made the space wide enough to accommodate the future 1DX.

Next left to right: 70-200 f/4 and a Gary Fong diffuser, Sidekick and waterproof outer cover for the backpack, 5D2.

Also you can see the 300 f/2.8 and the 24-105 and the 16-35 in the lower left.

In the cover I have three Tifffen cases with the different size filters. If I need to I can put batteries and other stuff all over the bag. Most everything is not nearly as tall as the depth of the bag so stuff can go under the lenses etc.

The battery chargers will be in my checked luggage.

Dimension wise it meets international measurements; weight wise if they are weighing carry-ons (I have never seen that happen), I will remove the 300 and the 1DX and simply carry the camera/lens in my hand. When I get on the plane it will go back in the bag.

    Hope this helps. Cheers, Jay
