Here is another image from my outing this past Tuesday. So far, this is my favorite image from all of those I
have looked at from that outing. Comments and/or suggestions are welcome.

Photo details: Canon 1D Mk2N, Canon 100-400L IS lens at 350mm, manual exposure 1/2500 at f6.3, iso 400.

Hi Tim - like this a lot - like the pose and HA and the nesting material is a bonus, the blue sky with the inclusion of some clouds is nice.
The only thing I would have liked a bit of separation between the front wing and the neck.

    IMHO good show :)

Excellent shot, sharp, good crop, might be a little better
bring down the midtones a little to darken the sky and the
legs. Great shot of one of my fav birds.

Well done, Tim. Lovely detail in the whites and I agree with Lance that the blue and white sky makes a great BG.

    Hi Tim.
I prefer this to the earlier post. Good comp and super detail and exposure. I like the fine tail feathers.

    Tim,

Beautiful image of this egret. Love the color, contrast, color and composition. Great work with your EF 100- 400 mm IS lens. Hope to see you at A.F. someday.

    Thanks for sharing...
