I photographed this Dunlin at Barnegat Light a couple of weeks ago. I stopped down to f/11 because I was quite close.

Another beauty from you, Axel. Love the green background, the pose, and the slightly open bill. Your work is always so clean.
Very nice! Nice soft background. Effective over all composition. Good exposure with nice details. Another lovely from you. Thanks for sharing..
Very nicely done with very little of color. Nice texture on the bird, whites, etc.
Sharp, and nicely focused, good job with the f/11
I like it...
Perfect always works! Nicely done!
Love the BG ... might even prefer a bit looser crop/comp to see more of it.
I love images of shorebirds on the edge of a rock with the ocean in the BKGR. Ditto Grace's critique. The bill is likely closed but it looks a bit open because of the flexible bill tip which the bird is flexing (if you know what I mean....)
Axel, what technique did you use to brace the lens?

Axel -
the BG, pose, HA +bill, exposure and focus are all excellent
My initial reaction was that it looks like the bird is about to fall over backwards. Thought some CW rotation might help but just made it worse.
Assume the bird must just have landed on the rock to explain leg angle??
Still nicely done

Wow!
Another beauty.
Love everything about this one Axel. The sharpness you achieved on the bill looks amazing.
Great species as well, thanks for sharing.
Lovely crisp subject and subdued background.
Like evrything about it; exposure, background, composition and details... IMO excellent picture.
Cant find any nits in this Axel. There again, your photography is top notch, and all I can say on this, is pin sharp, great detail, well exposed, and love the pastel colour in the BG. Congrats.
Axel, don't want to ditto all the above, so I'll just say I don't see a single halo in it :)
That should cover everything.......sweet image sir
