Wonder how it would look with the nest? Nice pose Desmond and light is mighty fine too, though I sense a little bit of hotness in some of those bright whites. Thanks for posting. :)

Nice one Desmond, wonder if this was from Pitt Meadows.
I agree with Akos regarding the whites.
Since you mentioned cropping, I would rather have seen more space on the right side (as opposed to left side) since that is where the bird is looking.

Pitt Meadows it is :) Not good enough to hang out at Maplewoods :D

I checked the white spots and found some teeny tiny ones on mine (before "save for web and devices").

Thanks for the comments and suggestions folks !

Like the pose (especially the fanned out tail). Head looks sharp. Agree on a bit more space on viewer's right. I'm seeing a strong cyan color in the whites of the tail and his right wing. Maybe caused by lighting conditions at the location?

Superb eye contact, and a great headon shot Desmond. Comp wise, I would do a horizontal pano crop. The space top and bottom, is fine, extend the two sides and see how it looks. Just a thought.

Ditto Stu on eye contact. I like the comp as is. Nice pose and BG.

Great pose and eye contact. Lots of detail with enough wing blur to convey motion. The background is very nice. I think it is nice as presented.

Very impactful frontal stare! Nice background with a hint of the environment and wing blur which shows motion.
