What a pretty little bird, one I have not seen. The colors are wonderful in this - the yellow on the tree branch complementing the yellow in the bird, set off by the lovely blue sky. A tiny bit of haloing around some of the edges, not bad. Looks a bit dark to me, maybe my monitor...?
I like the head angle and details. It would have been even better with the sun behind you and no twig partially covering the tail. Keep them coming!
Hi Don, and welcome, and thanks for your membership support. The image is sharp and the exposure a good one. Light angle problems have been mentioned above. (Anita: when you are off sun angle and EXP properly for the whites the rest will and must look dark; best to work right on sun angle if at all possible or to use lots of flash).
Not only does the offending branch cover the tail in part, but more importantly, it projects towards us in front of the subject and thus must be o-o-f. O--o-f twigs between the lens and the subject are to be avoided at all costs as they draw the viewer's eye from the subject.

Hi, Don. Welcome to the BPN website. You'll get your money's worth of comments here and they're all worth while!
HI Don
Wonderful subject. Light direction has been touched upon as was the twig across the tail, which mind you if your ethics for processing allow, can be retouched. Lovely pose too. :)
Hi, Don, me again. I've recalibrated my monitor and your lovely bird's exposure now looks fine! Sorry - didn't realize my monitor had lapsed to so much darkness.
