    yesterday i took this Male Hairy Woodpecker who do a grimace to me :).

    400mm...F 5.6...1/640s...Iso 500

    Great bird, great tongue. What was it perched on? Was it coming to your feeder or getting stuff from a rotted tree? Good EXP.

    Great capture, I like being able to see the tongue. BG looks good, too, maybe just a bit NR on it. I would sharpen the bird more, it seems the critical focus is on the foot.

    Love that pose! Agree with both Artie and Axel: nice exposure, but could stand some additional sharpening.
