This is the second time around for posting. This is an Eastern Kingbird shot at Forsythe Wildlife Refuge in June of 2008. Hope you enjoy this one. Your comments & pointers are welcomed.

I am liking the bird Eileen !!! I like how you gave room for the tail, so easy to cut off !!! I was tempted to suggest moving the bird slightly right but do the leaf's framing !!

Sharp, well exposed and managed the bg well !!! Pleasing image one I would be proud to have !!!

    Hi Eileen,
I like it as presented...I like the natural framing of your subject provided by the surrounding leaves...you have a good head angle and good eye contact...my only suggestion would be to selective sharpen the eye just a tad more...good show, looking forward to your next one...

Eileen, I like the composition and agree w/ Gus on a bit more sharpening to the eye. I would remove the yellow spot from the BG above his head. Great pose and HA -Well done.

Beautiful bird and composition, Eileen. I agree with Denise about that little yellow spot although I didn't see it until I read her comment and then couldn't not see it---might try a little noise reduction on the darker shadowed background.

All good advuce above - would run some NR on the background. Like the pose and the head angle - the bright yellow dot abovethe birds head is a tad distracting.
Looking forward to more - keep them coming :)

Thanks for the tips. I have reworked your suggestions into the image and am reposting the shot. Have I accomplished my assignment? I hope so, I'm anxious to learn. Thanks for the comments

Eileen, Good job with the repost. Looks to me like the BG could still use another pass of NR. Other than that, well done!

Lovely feel to this one Eileen, love the HT and face. Also noticed the yellow dot, now gone.
