Amazing! Great light, terrific pose and lovely BG, the whites seem a bit blown but I think they could be easily recovered. Great level of detail! Congratulatinos!

Don't think there are any blown highlights... Highest levels I can find is 235...

Beautiful light and nice and sharp. Perhaps a tad more room around, but very nice as is!

Great looking shot. You certainly caught a nice head turn. Lovely light. I just did a quick check and looks like the red channel may be a bit hot in some spots. Very nice looking bird. Dave

The warm light will give the effect of hot whites. It looks good to me. Real good. Love the first warm light here. Pose, wind blown top hair, it almost blends right in with the environment.

Sweet, sweet light, which produces amazing warm colours. Great pose and head turn, and showing lovely detail too. I would add a little more to the bottom.

What a lovely image. You guys only think its a great head turn. My first reaction - kinda like the quick look - is that the Grouse is waving at the photographer! :D

Great light, details and setting. I would prefer a wider crop and the whites are partially overexposed in the sRGB version. I'm sure the TIFF file looks fine.

Absolutely love this capture. The sidelighting with the head turn is just perfect the way it accentuates the eye and the head feathers. The only thing I wish for here is a wider crop all around. Thank you for sharing.
