I had posed a question here a few weeks ago asking advice on LCD monitors, that won't break the bank! I received great advice and just ran across a new Dell that was released recently that I wanted to share with everyone. I just purchased one and I'm very pleased, this monitor is replacing my poor old Lacie Blue CRT.
The model number is 2209WA (not to be confused with the 2209W model) which is a 22 inch widescreen IPS monitor and sells for $279 (with a 3 year warranty). I just picked one up and love it! Great pictures and color rendition. It isn't quite in the league with the higher end NECs or Eizos, but for the money it is really a great monitor for photo editing. A review at a German website rated it as covering 99.5% of the sRGB color gamut and gave it high marks for image quality. Dell recently had a sale and I picked mine up for $250 and I understand back in February they had offered it for around $210.
The native resolution is 1680 x 1050 @ 60hz.
I thought I would pass this along for anyone looking for a decent LCD monitor that won't break the bank! It has DVI as well as VGA connectors and 4 USB ports. It can only be found in the Small Business/Gov't store at the Dell website, but you don't have to be a small business or work for a government agency to buy one.

I bought a 20" Dell UltraSharp in September 2005 after talking to Jason Hahn. The price seems to have come down in recent. It works fine right now.
I always review my images on my MacBook Pro High Gloss before posting. I don't think images look the same on any two models even with the same colorimeter IMO. Just want to get a better idea how my image looks...

I actually managed to get this for the $210 price.
Coming from strictly laptops the last several years I really like the bigger screen of a 22inch.
Do you have the problem with with a slight brightness graduation from one side to the other? When i look hard for it I see it, but again from my history of screens, its not a problem.
What settings are you using for it?
cheers
Gavin
