Looks the goods as a great camera backpack. Too big for legal Airline carry on, but what bag holding a 600/4 is.
Andy didn't miss us on the price!! Geez............that's nearly A$700 here!!
That is not a casual backpack !!!! Andy has some special requirements and I'm sure that fits all of them !! Fine looking unit !!
The Think Tank Airport Security bag will handle the 600 f/4 with hood and can be carried on most domestic flights. I took mine to Utah this winter and packed the 600 f/4, 500 f/4, 400 f/5.6, 70-200 f/4, 1D Mark III, and 50D with room to spare. It slipped right in to the overhead bin.
Upcoming Workshops: Bosque del Apache 2019, Ecuador 2020 (details coming soon)

486.9025 US dollars. :)
Now THAT's a backpack!

Looks way to close to what I had to lug around for a career in the Army. :O
In my more mobile days I used a climbing (pro) rucksack to carry my 500mm F4 and camera by placing them into my winter use sleeping bag.
My tripod, monopod went into a plastic tube on the top of the rucksack which had the added advantage of not allowing the rucksack to hit the ground/ice if I fell over.
Old fashioned, but it worked and was a lot less cumbersome than the one advertised.
I posted recently a photo that I believe that folk thought was a bit of a joke, but in 1980 on a trek to the bottom of K2 we used several Yaks to carry our film and still camera equipment with us, I highly recomend this method to avoid altitude sickness and falls.
Andy Rouse is a great shooter. I know I'm gonna get slammed for this - but this bag fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down... twice:) BUT, it's PROBABLY very functional:) Sorry, just sayin' what some of us are thinking. Not saying I could design anything better though.
