Thomas, this is GORGEOUS! Beautiful composition and really lovely DOF. As soon as I saw it I thought to myself, "Screen layer." I went into Photoshop and duplicated the background layer (Ctrl + J) and then changed the blend mode from normal to screen and this is what I came up with. It also looked even more vivid with an Overlay mode.

Not that I don't love the original...it's really beautiful...I just wanted to see what it would look like with a little more punch. Both images totally work IMO. Lovely work. Isn't it neat what happens when you get down low?

I love the dreamy feel of the original. I feel high contrast and saturation work against the "soft" feel presented.

Thomas, a beautiful comp and dreamy, atmospheric image. I really like the contrast of the bright purple blooms with the soft grass and BG. Nicely done!

Big thanks for the inputs and comments.
I myself like a little lower contrast in flowerpictures.

Beautiful. I like the simplicity, the composition, the DOF. It looks like a landscape.

I think I prefer the original image, but maybe something between the original and Jules' version would be nice.

Very nice composition in this one--the little bluebells feel almost forlorn in a way.

Looks more like a painting than a photograph. Beautiful! I love the treatment of the grasses and the background. Very well done.

wow, this is so incredibly beautiful. The soft etheral light and dreamy colors are phenomenal- the wonderfully low angle together your dof is excellent for this intimate image. I love this.
