    Default Ruddy Turnstone

Photographed at Barnegat Light in bright light but thin clouds helped.

Light is nice IMO so I guess clouds did help :) Like the pose, BG, perch and detail, the only thing that bugs me a very little bit is the difference of sharpness between the feet and the rock, other than that, I love it! Congratulations!

    Axel:

Excellent exposure, nice composition, head angle. I like the feather details in the near wing.
    No real negatives from me.

    Great legs!

Good Looking Bird Axel. The only thing I am curious about is the 1/500 and f/11. I like the exposure.

I was so close to the bird that I wanted to stop down more than usual.

Light looks pretty good to me :)
Good idea to go smaller aperture, so easy to miss DOF when you are close. Beautiful BG with the OOF water. Me likes :)

Thanks, Lou! I made this a few weeks ago and there were no horseshoe crabs around at that time.

Pin, pin sharp Axel, and what brilliant detail in this. Great head angle too. Congrats on a fine image.
