Red Breasted Merganser in flight

Another migratory waterfowl passing through... one that we don't see much of or for very often so I was happy to see and photograph this Red Breasted Merganser.

Water color is gorgeous background for this merganser and I like the upward angle of the flight. Nicely presented!

We dont have anything like this over here, so its always great to see other species. Great inflight shot, lovely detail throughout, and the eye stands out so well against the dark plumage. Comp wise, I would take a bit off the bottom. BTW, great complimentary colours in the BG too. Congrats.

Nice flyby and water colors. The wing position is not ideal and I would try to get more details in the shadows.

Nice sharpness and the BG water color is excellent. Up swept wings wold be better, but this is still nice as is.

Interesting bird with nice feather colour and patterns. The red eye shows up well agaist the dark face. The wing blur shows movement. I like the water colour.
