    This one is from my archives taken last year. Settings were -

    40D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm
    1/800 sec, f/9 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: -1 ISO: 400

    Nice colors, was this a heavy crop? I'd try to blur the BG a bit in order for the bird to stand out more.

    I feel the bird stands out enough. I do think the light is a little harsh though. Still, you had captured a nice flight shot. I like your subject placement. :)

    Harsh light was your main enemy here - with some of your blacks blocked and your whites very close to over. Difficult in anything but soft light.
    Like how you have left space up front for him to fly into.

    Thanks for the feedback...

    Ákos, Lance, it is the harsh light that was challanging with this photo. I was in too mind if to trash this or keep it given the good wing position and details. I will probably play around with this to see if I can get anything better in ps.

    Arash, it is 80% of the original size.
