    D300 200-400+1.4TC on tripod @ 280mm. Manual exposure mode, all natural light. ISO 640 f9 1/640s.

Cropped for composition. This osprey was flying low over the water on its way back to the nest. I probably could have zoomed closer. And I also found out I much prefer shooting flight shot hand-held.

C&C welcome and much appreciated !!

    Thank you for looking !

Nice catch (you and the Osprey). A little more NR in the BG would probably smoothen it more. I feel your framing is fine as there is plenty of room for it to move. There is plenty of good detail allover and I like the tonality of the image. Thanks for sharing. :)

Great comp, love the upturned wings, and well done on including his catch.

Great shot, love the motion blur on the wingtips, good job. I'd brun and blur the BG a bit so the bird stands out more.

Hi Desmond - exposure looks good and like the action and the fanned out tail - wish the far wing didn't merge with the BG quite so much- might run some noise reduction on the background.

Nicely done Desmond. This fellow must be a little slower than the swallows you have been getting. I like the composition and great with the upturned wing. Good one. Dave
