I hope that the barbed wire is a minor enough "hand of man" element here? Captured in Costa Rica last week during the Foto Verde workshop with Greg Basco and Doug Brown.

While the perch appears rather large for the subject it looks so nice and weathered. :) I would probably crop as per my attachment to place the bird off the centerline somewhat more and sharpen a bit more too. I love the smooth BG and overall texture. For me the barbed wire is not an issue. Though really, really old and rusty would be nicer. THanks for sharing.

Lovely detail and colours captured on the little guy. I feel if you cropped a little below the feet, you would get away from the barbed wire.

Hi Dan - for my personal taste - the perch overpowers the little guy, would recrop to minimize the perch a little -but then again I am sure others will love it as it is!

Hi Dan. Very pretty looking bird and you captured it well. My preference for a crop would be just below the top strand of wire. Pretty bg.

    Hi Dan!

And it's good to see some of the work you got while in CR!

I like Akos crop the best since the fence post in you image is too over powering, and I guess that it is not you main subject here :)

I would only suggest a little more saturation on the bird.

    Very nice work.
