    For this image, I let the camera do my thinking.
    Av mode, f 6.3, ISO 400, 1/1600, spot metered on the bird.
    Canon 50D, 500 + 1.4tc + tripod planted firmly in poison ivy. :(

    Bird looks good, nice wing position and sharp, nice exposure, the BG is a little busy for me especially with different "layers" at different degrees of blur (OOF). hope the poison ivy wasn't too bad

    A lot going on in the background, but you really nailed the exposure on the bird.

    Excellent exposure on the osprey, with a great flying posture. I feel if you could blur the BG slightly more, it would really make the osprey pop. Still, well captured Grace.

    Almost perfect HA. Love the BG and wing spread. Positioned well in frame. Congrats! :)

    I like it as is. It's different then most flight shots we see. Camera did a good job on exposure and you did a good job on comp.

    Nice comp, excellent exposure and terrific pose! BG is a bit bussy IMO, but I like the shot despite that. Congratulaitons!
