This photo was taken near an active Eagle's nest in Palm Bay, Florida. It was actually taking off from a power pole about 10:00 am in the morning. I used a Nikon D200 with 500mm f4 P manual lens with a 1.4 Teleconverter. The camera settings were ISO 500, f8, speed 1/1600 sec. I used a SB800 with a Better Beamer. I used a tripod for this capture this image. I would appreciate critique. I'm especially interested how I cropped this image. ADubin
The crop and the compostion are fine and it is pretty sharp. Amazing with manual focus. The background is full of gooey noise...

Outstanding flight shot (I'm shooting a MF 500 right now also). The composition is very pleasing to my eye. There is a lot of noise, probably due to JPG compression. I'm not sure whether I like the bit of foot hanging below the eagle's wing... then again, this is one heck of a nice eagle shot. Good work!
Thank you Artie, Judy, and Blake for your comments on my photo. I believe the "gooey noise" was because I used an ISO of 500 and not jpg compression since I captured the photo using RAW. ADubin.
