Nice capture of this moment. As in previous posts the birds look rather soft and the light is quite harsh. I could see this as vertical crop, too. If you have you could add canvas at the bottom for the clipped 'virtual feet'. With the Mark III, you can easily go to ISO 400 without introducing noise and stop down more for wider DOF.

Agree with Axel and will add that there is evidence of cloning on the male's head and wing and a strong magenta cast to the water, easy to correct adding some green to the image in Color Balance. Her's a repost with 23 point of green in the magenta-green slider and the highlights multiplied, as in the Educational Forum thread about saving the whites:

Another great moment captured with these two Chris. Axel and Fabs have covered everything. Is this a large crop?

Fabs, you are right I tried to clone away some light objects behind the birds head and wing and the colour you mentioned is me playing with the colour balance in the midtones, guess I stuffed up there.

Thanks again for your interest and help.

Practice can only make your skills in the processing better Chris. You have immense courage and a good eye, so it will come together.

I like the interaction and look forward to seeing more. Heck, not much you can do if these two decide to have a naughty in the middle of the day, aye? :)
