Another shot from the inside of our barn. This is a row of beams up in the loft.
One result of my barn photo series is that it has inspired me to try new, different effects for creating monochrome images. For example, in this I used a photo filter layer to create the yellow tone rather than a hue/saturation layer like I usually do. Any C&C are welcome!

Christopher, What I like best about your barn series is your experimentation of different angles and processing. You have been very diligent and have come up with some very unique images. I like the diagonal lines and the shadows, not crazy about the canvas texture as it caught too much of my attention,I couldn't stop looking at it. But I think it's a good idea-I see a hint of yellow but not too much-nicely done.
Thanks Denise. Here it is without the canvas texture. I do like the effect that the canvas gave, but I think you're right that in this case it was a bit distracting. Guess I'll have to find some other photo that it works better on. Thanks again and please tell me what you think.
Cool image, Christopher! I kind of liked the canvas texture but maybe a bit more on the subtle side so it blends in with the woodgrain a little better? I also cropped off the bottom - that bottom corner is a bit distracting to me and I wanted to see what it looked like with just the overall slanted pattern. I think you could also try a little dodging in that bottom corner to give the depth of the dark tones without it being solid black.
