    Default What Warbler?

Two days ago I spotted this warbler in my backyard. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good look at it, and this was the only photo I was able to get before it flew away. Can anyone identify it for me? When I first saw it, it was on the ground like a sparrow; and it frequently bobbed it's tail.

Maybe a palm warbler? I'm not sure, though.

Palm Warblers bob their tail and they are one of the early warbler migrants, so I'd say Axel is correct.

Thanks Axel and John for your help. I am curious what makes you think palm warbler and not perhaps a prairie warbler? I ask because according to information I've found prairie warblers also bob their tails and forage near the ground.

Looks like Palm Warbler yellow to me and they are more common than Prairies in the northeast, and as mentioned, they are early migrants.
