Well done. Details are good; especially for 1/100sec. Colors are also very nice on both the bird and background. Love those eyes. The prey is a real plus. Was this baited? I am not bothered by that just curious. Thanks for sharing.

This is wonderful. He is so proudly showing his catch with his one talon and keeping his eye on you as well. Lovely colors and exposure. Well done.

Excellent detail and super eyes. Looks like he/she is daring you to try to get the prey away. A suggestion would be to have a bit less post on the bottom.

    Hi Alex,
Another wonderful picture of my favorite bird. I would hazard a guess and say it is a female judging by the color of the plumage. It can be hard to tell but usually the males tend to be a bit smaller and lighter in color, at least here in western Canada. Love the details on this one and the expression on the bird's face. Great lighting as well.

    Take care,

    Steve

Great sighting, and love the eye contact in this. I like the clouds in your BG sky.

No it wasn't baited. The bird hunted the mouse down in the gras near the shoreline. Thanx fore commenting.

    Hi Stuart,

It isn't the sky you're looking at bud the see. My position was higher then the bird from a dyke so I had to shoot down;)
