    “FAU OWL”

    This proud fellow resides in one of the four Owl habitat locations in the Florida Atlantic University fair grounds near the baseball fields. Mr. Owl was painted with a Nikon D200 using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 D IF-ED lens, with a Nikkor 1.7 T/C.

    focal length @ 765mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 400 /1/1750sec - f/8 / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF–C, dynamic range /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / no speedlight / support platform - monopod assist.

    I like the pose. Looks like he tapping his toe. Very nice background. Makes me want to go out tonight and try my hand again at the family near me. What time of day did you take this? John

    Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you like Mr. Owl...This was taken around 6:30 in the evening under soft light...:cool:

    I like the fence coming out of the corner Gus. Love the pose and eye contact. Very nice. Looks like he is getting really impatient waiting to have his shot taken:)

    Gus, It's hard to get one of these guys with their feet showing! Great job. Beautiful BG and pose puts this over the top! One of your best!!

    the pose is to die for!! one of the better burrowing owl images i ever saw.
