Hi John, The spread out wings make a nice pose. It is a pity that the trees in the background are a bit distractive. Do you have some more images created when BG was the blue sky. There is some softness in at the eye and tail. Is it a heavily cropped image?

The COMP is excellent and you captured a nice pose but there are many, many problems. The bird's tail is way dirty. There is no detail in the darks. Shadow/Highlight can possibly help a bit. (Best to photograph the eagles in softer light...) The eye looks totally funky--not sure why. And as mentioned above, the BKRG is distracting.

Get out and take lots more. And later and love, artie

Adding to the other comments, is this a heavy crop? I'm wondering because ot the look of the eye.
