CR2----->LRII (small crop, slight curves + sat boost)---TIFF---->NN (one pass)----TIFF--->CS4 (selective & smart sharpen & slight BR clone)----web save JPG-->BPN.

Now that I look this over, the BR is too bright and distracts from the main subject. I will repost and reduce brightness of the BR.

It is amazing how often the same thing happens to me - as soon as i post the image, I see things I should have attended to before posting. Go figure. I agree with your thoughts about the bg.

I agree with your self assessment on the background, also might adjust the colors on the bird, they are a little warm, lacking contrast...looking forward to the repost...:cool:
