Found this bird staring at "something", as is its usual pose -- looked like an empty hole to me. I liked the idea that he may be looking into it, so perhaps I'll be forgiven for the HA (I used my get out of jail card last time). This morning was a bit overcast and cold, but I was happy to be out after almost three weeks "in house." This guy was far off from me, so the image is heavily cropped. I do love the looks of these beautiful, but fierce, critters.

Hi Wendell - Behavioural shot - bird is looking into that area - I think the Ha is OK in this instance.

Bird needs some additional sharpening - hes a little soft - you could also sharpen and lighten the eye a tad to make it more prominent.
The front leg looks a bit funny - considerably whiter than the rest of the whites??

I like the behavior captured and the ha makes sense since the bird is up to something !!! Would love seeing you use your 400 on a tripod with a 1.4X and focus manually Will be sharper than the 2X and crop !! Just a thought !!!
