    Default Splashing Grebe

I have centering issue with this grebe. I wanted to show the splashing water behind him and this caused the grebe to be centered. I experimented with cropping off the right and it left little room in the picture for him to move into. I tried a portrait crop and that just did not look quite right. So I settle on this crop -- I do have room for different cropping.

I like how you have captured him bathing, and the way you have frozen the droplets with the ss. Comp wise, I would take a bit off the bottom, move him back to the left a bit, losing the one angled splash, and if you have room, add onto the right.

Well done ... caught at just the right moment. Great job freezing the splashing water. I would use levels and shadow/highlight to brighten the splash area up just a bit.

Very nice timing Scott. I like the additional attention the repost gives to the spalsh. As far as cropping, I think it is fine and personal preference may do other wise, even cropping a bit off the right. I like it.

Neat pose, details and splash. I like the lighter water in the repost.

Great lightness in water in repost. I would also sharpen the eye a tad more. I like the splashes mate. :)

Beautiful capture and superb eye contact. I like the crop putting the bird further back . The splash is a great bonus in this capture and many thanks for sharing.
