Im the first to admit that he is looking slightly away from me. I wanted to share the early morning light that I captured in this image. Colours as shot. This was taken in a small nature reserve close to Pretoria, and my house.

Great light, angle and details. I'm not even sure that I have seen this species before, thanks for sharing! I only wish for a bit more head turn and that the sun would have been behind you.

Colors are gorgeous but I dont really see much of the bird. The black back of the bird breaks up the great color line. Great looking bird and I would be happy to have any kind of picture of this pretty guy

    Hi Stuart!

Agree with you and Axel's assessment. Killer background colors and light if only ... Did you get a chance to try making kissing sounds?

Gorgeous light and BG - don't wish to harp - but the HA and angle of the light stop this from being stunning.

Kissing sounds. LOL. Good one! I never thought of that, I would squeek or something like that. Must try next time. Killer light Stuart, so soft and warm. HA a bit of a let down, but still an atmospheric image. Nice species too. :)

Wonderful warm lighting and stunning BG. My only wish too would be for a slight head turn but would love to have this in my files Stuart.

I like the light and BG colour here Stu. I am not sure about the pano crop though?
