    Default Snowy Owl at Sunrise

I made this image on Long Island 3 minutes after sunrise. I moved a little left and right to avoid having too much grass touching the bird. If some of the whites look overexposed, this is due to jpg conversion.

This is a corker, incredible light, eyes to die for.

I wonder if you have seen the recent images of Snowy Owls taken by Andy Rouse, you can view them here

    Axel:

Lovely soft light, nice pose, great eyes, background. Good job on framing the bird with the grasses. Your movement was worth the effort.

    Hi Axel!

See if you can make a head twist all the way 'round! I like the complementary colors of the background, vegetation and the eyes. To my eyes, the horizontal branch underneath seems to create a division in the image.

Randy stole my words, but he has summed it up perfectly, with you framing the snowy between the grass. Amazing light, and I think the exposure is fine. Great image Axel.

Stunning Light - ahh the rewards of being in place before the sunrise. Really like the composition with the foreground and background blades of grass framing the bird :)

You gotta stop Axel. We are drooling. I love the subject placement, framing with grass and the gorgeous warm light. What is to nitpick on? Ah yeah, I was not there. :D
