    Default Osprey action

    Hi all. Hubby and myself spent the last few days down in The Everglades and man it was slow.:( The only real action was down at Flamingo with the ospreys. We stopped this morning at Wako and found Judy there and we had a great chat!:D I had not been to Wako before and found it to be a really terrific place with lots of action going on. Anyway, this osprey was taken with my D300, Nikon 70-300VR, f 7.1, iso 640, 1/640. All comments welcomed

    Great Image Nancy;
    I like the composition and wing position.

    I like the pose you got here. I also like the framing of the trees, but wish the wingtip wasn't touching that branch. Exposure and sharpness are perfect, terrific details in the wings! I would have prefered the light coming more directly from behind you to better illuminate the throat, chest, and side of body. Still very appealing :-)

    I wish for a little more head turn. I do, however, love the wingspread, framing by the trees and the lovely light! Those talons ARE mean! Thanks for sharing. :)

    Thanks Bill, Daniel and Akos! When I knew they were flying in and out of the nest I positioned myself better for lighting and branches, BUT did they fly in that way or with that wing position again, nooooo!!:(:) They probably waited till I left.:p:)

    Lovely landing posture, and nicely framed between the trees. This is nice and sharp Nancy, showing great feather detail. Congrats.
