    Very neat Jay. I would crop in tight from the left and make this more into a vertical. I would also do something about the strongly lit BG element you see to the left of the bill. You have some fabulous detail in this image buddy! Congrats!!! :)

    That's bright spot in the background is the first thing I noticed in the thumbnail of your photo :D So, yes, I agree it's better to do something about it. I like the color of this image. The background is OK with me, too. Good eye contact.

    Thanks, yeah I have tried to remove the bright spots in LR (looking forward to leaning and being proficient in PS) but it isn't clean; I am not at all proficient in this PP. The images have been PPed, but not significantly. Jay

    Very good detail on the oranges and blacks of this pretty bird. It looks like you got quite close. Unusual lighting in the eye -- looks almost like two catchlights. Agree that the background is a bit distractive but I sure wish I had a pretty bird like this in my collection.

    The hornbill looks pretty sharp, with lovely colours. I agree with Akos regarding making this a vertical crop, and nits covered with the lighter areas.
