    Nice detail in the eye and bill, with a smooth BG. the whites look a little hot. this may work well as a verticle

    Yes, I can see it thanks!
    You did get the ruby eye and with a beautiful blue BG to boot!
    Some would like a slight turn of the head towards you. Depending on the light, that may affect the light shining in the eye.

    Great detail and BG and gotta love that eye!

    A head turn toward the viewer would make it more intimate but I think it
    also works as is ... just gives it a different feeling/mood ... more contemplative
    and distant rather than intimate.

    Hi Bryan:

    I think you did well with this capture and balancing the exposure. I have no problem with the head angle. I would remove the second catchlight in the eye. Your BG is gorgeous.
