Hi fabs...Very nice action and positioning within the frame. Curious to know why the whole image is the same color caste?

No clue, Dave, out of the camera color and to be honest, that's the colors I saw, that's why I didn't want to change it.

    Fabs,
Lovely image. I don't have any problems with the branches. Look forward to more from the series.

    Cheers,

I for one would like to see the headclash.

Regarding the colour cast I had the same occur on an image of a baby elephant, I too kept it as it was. I thought it looked better.

The turned heads and raised front hoofs builds tension for what's about to happen. Color/light looks to be what I'd expect from a morning session, was that the case?

Yes, and I have that color in many, many of them, so I supposed that's what it was :)

    Thanks, guys!

The colors are probably indeed accurate. Having spent time at our place in MT. during this season I know the scene well. I like the overall composition and interaction. The foreground grass seems just a bit bright for me. I also think that this image probably doesn't lend it self well to web presentation at the posted dimensions and the full impact of can not be appreciated. I think based on the colors and overall "texture" this image printed large, hung on the wall and viewed from several feet it would be very captivating.

Nice shot, one of my favorite subjects. However, we don't get to see too many down here, in the sunshine state! :)

I too was first puzzled by the light. The foregound grass and the rams. It seems just a little overexposed to me. The rams our lighter than I remember them. Shooting in the mountains can do that to your images. The lighting is different than the flatlands. But the artist has that option.

    Good image though.

Nice capture. You can really anticipate the action.

Nice implied action and good compositional balance with the tree. Light wasn't ideal unfortunately but they do it when they do it and you did well.
