    Shot this late in the day outside with a heavily shaded backround.
    Nikon D300 200mm Macro Natural light -2/3 comp
    F22 1/250 ISO 400 tripod mtd

    Could one ask for a cleaner shot??

    I prefer the stem on a diagonal but, that really doesn't take away form your beautiful image.

    Beautiful soft lighting, Dave. I really like the comp - the way the bud is coming up off the side and the curve of the stem on the right. Only thought I had would be to try this with the yellow tint of the lighting brought down a tiny bit - to desaturate the yellow spots just slightly - it might feel even more natural than how it is presented. It's beautiful as is...just a suggestion.

    Hey Dave,
    I don't mind the warmer light here and the shadows add nice depth. I am debating the bud at the UL of the bloom.....I may have wanted to see it all. Lighting and BG nicely handled.

    Dave, I like the lighting and the composition. Beautiful BG and your flower just pops!!
