David:
Overall, I prefer this one to your previous prairie chicken. The color in the body, lack of shadow in front of tail, etc. are improvements. I do miss the electric yellow look of his head from the last one. He is sharp, well exposed.
It looks like he is looking downhill slightly, and I half expect him to fall over on his face!
Now, if you could just get him with the sun at your back :)
Thanks for sharing!

Nice photo David. I like the eye contact and head angle, sort of a peak a boo look. I also like the full side view of the bird. Nice one.

I have no nits, except it does look a bit awkward leaning forward. Downhill as previously mentioned most likely being the reason for that.
On the positive side, I find the pose and plumage and framing very, very good. I really like this image David. Congrats! :)
Is it doing the sun salutation???? :)
Vwey nicwly captured in sweet light. Love the low angle and details. Light looks good to me, the whole bird is lit.
These guys actually tilt forward/put there head slightly down, while performing their "boom" to attract the females. They begin long before sunrise, and keep it up as long as any female is around. The leks I visited had 4-5 females and up to a dozen males. Hours and hours of show, fighting, and booming... all for a chance at a 1/2 second copulation.
