    This is an immature Pacifi Gull captured off the South Coast of Victoria Australia on a 1D Mk III, 400mm f/5.6 L at f/5.6, 1/2500 sec, ISO 400, Pattern metering,, Aperture priority, +0.3 stop

    Check out the thick bill on this guy! I love the deatil on the near wing, but I could go for a better position on the far one (higher up). Looks like you had some nice light here. I'd look into desaturating the blue on the far wing-tip. Overall pretty nice!

    Hi Christopher!

    I agree with Daniel, love the detail in the near wing, and wing position. If the far wing were higher, then the face wouldn't merge with the far wing. I like the composition.

    Daniel and Brian have covered my observations. I just want to echo theirs in that I like the details of the underside of the wing and place of the bird in frame. Thanks for sharing.
