Camouflage couldn't be better for this ground forageing woodpecker enjoying a deserted campground.

What woodpecker? Where? :D Nice. I might run a little more sharpening on the head / eye area. Also, I think the camouflage aspect is even more emphasised by a crop from the bottom to the horizontal stick. This cuts out the green in the lower left.

I like this one, but I'm not sure it's for everyone(too busy).

Pretty nice low angle, but wonder if you could have gotten even lower.

I think your right JIm. I'll try it and see if I can tighten it up anymore without losing res. Maybe another way to go would be to turn the green and sticks into leaves from the in focus part of the BG. hmmm

Too many notes, eh Dan. Well your probably right. I was squatting, I guess I could have gone to a full prone position and scared the Flicker off and missed the shot altogether. Sometimes you take what you got. It could always be better.

I like the attentive pose in this one. The setting is less than ideal since a lower angle would have covered the legs and this way you have this very busy BG. Maybe a bit S/H and less contrast.
