As you can probably guess, this is a photo of our barn made to look old through the wonders of PS. To create this, I converted to sepia, added noise, applied dust & scratches filter, added a vignette, created scratches with the pencil tool, and did render clouds on a layer set to vivid light to give it a bit of a grimy look.
Christopher, I really like this. I did know it was your barn!! I like the old look of the photograph and the efforts you took to get it like that. I would only recommend that a little goes a long way w/ the scratching. The cloud rendering is good and I like the vignette!Well done.
i like the work you did here. agree with denise about the scratches. thing that bothers me the most is the crooked barn. is it really that slanted? took almost 2 degrees of CCW rotation to straighten it. the sepia is awesome!!
Thanks Denise and Harold. Guess I did go a little overboard on the scratches. Good catch Harold on the tilt. I had rotated it some, but it must not have been enough to completely straighten it. I'll post a revised version as I can.
Does look old Christopher. You have achieved your goal. Agree with techs mentioned. ( a few too many scratches and I am usually guilty of rotation) Good job with the sky:)
