I seem to remember this one in colour Harold:). Like your framing and reflection. I was thinking of maybe lightening the blacks at the base of the trunks??? Otherwise very nice.

Very creative, son. Me thinks it needs a CW rotation.

Harold, I like it! Very nice use of the palette knife. I love silver efex! The reflection is great. Not sure about the rotation-the FG looks right but the right back looks crooked?

thanks mom. you were right. it needed 1.22 degrees of rotation. wow, that's a lot and i didnt see it!!

thanks jackie and denise. i may try to dodge those stumps and see what happens.

    OK, I'M SORRY!! geez! i cant always be perfect!!:p besides, that's what mom's are for!!:D

jackie, i was able to figure it out by drawing a line from a spot on one of the trees to it's reflection in the water. works everytime. you dont have to have a horizon to do it. just a smooth reflection. works up and down too!!

thanks for the comments. truthfully, is it not a strong image? am i liking it more than everyone else? you can say it. i got thick skin.

I like it Doctor Davis...:D I'm not going to mention the CW rotation on the Sun Dial...:p;) I like the perspective and the mood here. I'm fine with the blacks...

Harold I think it is a strong image. Just wondering if can be made stronger. Not sure how, bringing out more texture through sharpening. A more dramatic B and W conversion??? Just a few thoughts!

thanks, jackie. it is sharper and a little more dramatic without the palette knife filter. BUT, then it would just be a landscape and not OOTB.
